"Permaculture is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. It is the harmonious integration of landscape and people providing their food, energy, shelter and other material and non-material needs in a sustainable way. Without permanent agriculture there is no possibility of a stable social order." - Bill Mollison co creator of Permaculture
For a deeper understanding here are two links to the original Permaculture Design Courses with Bill Mollison and co taught with Geoff Lawton. **Some of the language used in this course by Bill Mollison is problematic, and may be offensive.
'Bill Mollison Lecture Series, Online' hosted by Networks Productions is freely available to all. This is taken from two Permaculture Design Courses run in 2005.
There is also 'Bills course' on the Tagari Publications website. It is the full original Permaculture Design Course content taught by Bill Mollison, (and co taught with Geoff Lawton).
'Bills course' is via another site called Udemy. When i purchased this course in May 2022, it was around $30. Right now (August 2024) it says the course is $169.99! I don't know what that is about, seems like a wild increase. Udemy do have sales and first time users discounts. Price gouging since pandemic is disgusting across all fronts of life and i would hate to think Tagari is leaning in that direction too, like so many other Permaculture heads seem to be doing everything they can to cash in right now.
