It's rainy as FK here on Gubby Gubby country! It's almost like there is some major weather event going on rn 😂
We are so grateful to have dodged a bullet with Cyclone Alfred being down graded ex tc from a category 2 before making land fall. Like a lot of SEQers this was our first cyclone but Ive a strong feeling it won't be our last.
Heart goes out to all those affected, and my open palm goes out across th face of all those invalidating others experiences, anxiety, and emotions around this event *batman slap meme* even funnier bc its because of Alfred.
We spent the ass end of the week benching all plans, and devoting as much energy as possible to disassemble, strap and peg everything and anything we could. (Anyone else gets distracted there for a second 🤫🤭)
And as we've not long moved in to this rental, I still hadn't set up the Cubby house (aka our shade house, and my work space) , so this was an opportunity to pull everything out, and set it up (lay down, strap down) safely, so I don't have to rush to get it all back to where it was.
I am actually really looking forward to getting out there and resetting everything. When we moved it was pure kaos. Everything was rushed off the truck and dumped in the yard starting in one corner then radiating out. The yard was a sea of plants 🤩 but also 😵💫
Since then I've had like three good days to try and move things around, and two of those days were just last week!
Once the legs are back on the shade house, I'll level the ground by the house for the pavers, then get our nursery shelves up 😭😁 *insert the energy of "it's so fluffy, I'm gona die".
Once shelves are up, and all the trays are out of the way, I can set up the totem displays, potting bench, etc like all these other things should just fall into place 🪼🪼🪼 🥹
Also all this constant connection to weather sites is inspiring something, some form of creative out burst, not sure where I'll go with this.
